I was influenced by the works of Émile Gallé, L.C. Tiffany and the Beaux Arts movement for my aesthetic in this painting. The cachepot of Hydrangeas at center is a Weller pot from Ohio, on top of a European Chinoiserie red lacquer table with a French metal statue facing the sky.
As an afterthought, I was dog sitting this blind Golden Retriever who finished the composition to my liking.
