Oil on copper (8”x10”). “Thom” was the model for this alla prima oil painting on copper.
Posing at the bottom of the stairs at nighttime created this striking silhouette of warm, greenish glow with backlighting.
I normally paint in natural daylight, but this effect made for quite an interesting study.
